Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. As a child she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her singing. This experience did not just help to boost her confidence, but also changed her outlook on the future. The 22-year-old earned a degree from the Julliard School in New York. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her professional career on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 her first film debut was You've received mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot she portrayed the Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. Following that, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. The actress is also a renowned performer and has published an extended version of her play. She's also an activist who fights in the fight for LGBT rights.
